I never expected to see this after such a storm filled day. I figured the skies were going to stay black and rainy for the rest of the night.
The kids came home with stories of being in a real tornado scare, forming the school tornado crouch listening to the sirens fill the air. It was not a drill!
I had noticed the sun peeking out of the clouds and hitting the tops of the trees and grabbed my camera. I started to shoot this photo with the intent of showing the different red, yellow, and green contrasting colors of the these particular three trees. While looking through the viewfinder I noticed this rainbow starting forming in the exact spot I was shooting. Wow! It lasted about 5 minutes and was gone.
