warm breezes anyone?

So I'm counting down the days until I can venture outside again without freezing my buns off.
It's been a long winter I'm ready to get out and about.
We've had some sickness going through the house, seems like one kid after another, including myself. Eddie never seems to get sick, I swear that man pushes on like the energizer bunny on steroids.
It's the end of the month so I'd thought I'd share a bit of our home flavor. Here's some images of Damian being bored and a brilliant little booger at the same time.
Sean, last week, camping out in his room working on a math project.
When I edited these images the song "Let me be myself", from 3 Doors Down, runs through my head. I never ever get tired of watching my kids grow and how I always encourage them to don't follow the pack, don't be afraid to be yourself.

Attention High School Seniors!!!

I have been hard at work keeping my mind occupied with several projects I have going on right now. I promise I'm going to blog more. I am still trying to get out of my winter time funk.
I have been in a designing mode, still learning new techniques every day. Here's one I made tonight for my new promotion I have going on.
I have been working with a graphic designer and trying out some logo ideas on my own. I'll share soon.
I have been itching to shoot, but hiding from the cold. The kids finally made it to bible study/horse club last weekend, only to vote to stay inside today.

goodbye baby "buster"

We had the funnest little dog in the world. Sometimes life changes in an instant. ready or not. A humble reminder that we are not always in control of our future.
Today we mourn the passing of a dear family member. The whole house is very quiet.
After getting out the back gate.
He was hit by a car in front of Sean and Damian while they tried to catch him.
He thought they were playing a game.
Rest in peace.... our Jack Russel Terrier...."Buster"

Perils of Parenthood

A first grade girl handed in the drawing below for a homework assignment.

After it was graded and the child brought it home, she returned to school the next day with the following note:
Dear Ms. Davis,
I want to be very clear on my child's illustration.

It is NOT of me on a dance pole on a stage in a strip joint.

I work at Home Depot and had commented to my daughter how much money we made in the recent snowstorm.
